Opened in 2022, the Eschbach Research Center is a state-of-the-art facility located in the scenic Rhine Valley, Germany. It serves as a key hub for Crop Health Research & Development (CHR&D) and Seed Product Development (SPD) in the EMEA region. The center complements global R&D efforts, particularly those in Indianapolis, and is equipped with advanced laboratories, greenhouses, and growth chambers. It plays a vital role in developing innovative agricultural solutions and is a designated site for scientific collaboration, customer engagement, and high-level visits.
Internship Responsibilities
As an intern at the Eschbach Research Center, you will:
- Support laboratory and greenhouse trials focused on European pests and diseases.
- Assist in product characterization studies, including efficacy, selectivity, and resistance testing.
- Contribute to methodology development for new active ingredients and formulations.
- Participate in data collection, analysis, and reporting for ongoing research projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Weed Management, Insect & Nematode Management, Fungicide Resistance, and Seed Applied Technologies.
- Help maintain lab equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Engage in internal knowledge-sharing and potentially support customer or media visits.
Location
Candidate Requirements
We’re looking for candidates who are:
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Biology, Agronomy, Biotechnology, or related program.
- Proficient in English; German is a plus.
- Team players with a proactive and flexible mindset.
- Passionate about agricultural research and innovation.
- Comfortable working in laboratory and greenhouse environments.
- Detail-oriented with good data handling and analytical skills.
